AutoCAD Applied to CFA & SDI Systems

This training provides hands-on familiarity with the AutoCAD interface using architectural plans supplied in DWG format. Participants learn to navigate the plan, clean it up and organize it to prepare low-current systems studies.
The course covers creating layers, units and templates, then creating and using blocks representing cameras, detectors, readers, sirens and control panels. Text, symbols, dimensions and simple point tables are used to make the plans usable.
The hands-on practice includes a video surveillance and intrusion layout plan, then adding a network of fire detectors and SDI points. The final file is laid out with a title block, scale and PDF printing.

• Get to grips with the AutoCAD interface and manage DWG files supplied by an architect.
