Fire Detection - Mastering Standards, Sizing and Commissioning

Hands-on training to analyze a site's security needs, select intrusion detection technologies and design volumetric and perimeter protection. It covers sizing the control panels, integration with video and access control, IP or GSM/GPRS transmissions, design documentation and functional acceptance testing.

Fire Detection - Mastering Standards, Sizing and Commissioning

Overview

This training develops a design approach applied to intrusion detection, based on the analysis of sensitive zones, risk levels and operational constraints. Participants study volumetric detectors, contacts, shock sensors and perimeter solutions for fences, facades, roofs and parking areas.
Sizing covers the zones, buses, power supplies and partitions of a professional intrusion control panel. The programme also addresses integration with video surveillance and access control, IP or GSM/GPRS transmission, and verification scenarios.
Hands-on practice is based on site plans, intrusion system mock-ups and the complete configuration of a control panel. It results in a point list, a security synoptic diagram and an acceptance procedure including tests, recording of anomalies and validation.

Objectives

Analyze a site's security needs, taking into account sensitive zones, risks and operational constraints.
Choose suitable intrusion detection technologies.
Design consistent perimeter detection for fences, facades, roofs and parking areas.
Size a professional intrusion control panel by defining zones, buses, power supplies and partitions.
Integrate intrusion detection with video and access control.
Define IP, GSM/GPRS or dual-path transmission modes and alarm verification scenarios.
Produce design documents: synoptic diagrams, zoning plans, point lists and data sheets.
Prepare a functional acceptance test and acceptance tests for a sensitive site.

Who should attend
