Practical guide to sizing video surveillance storage
SSP Academy practical guide to sizing the storage of a video surveillance system based on the number of cameras, the bitrate, the cod…
Expert training dedicated to the design and sizing of large-scale VMS video surveillance architectures: multi-site, recording servers, storage, video walls, advanced artificial intelligence and integration with other security systems.

This Level 3 training enables experienced technicians and engineers to master the design of video surveillance architectures for large sites, multi-building environments and multi-site infrastructures.
The programme covers the complete sizing of a VMS solution: central and distributed architecture, recording servers, storage for several hundred cameras, decoding and display solutions, as well as video wall design.
A significant part is devoted to advanced video analytics and artificial intelligence functions, including ANPR, counting, heatmaps, thermal analysis and flame or fire detection.
The training also covers the integration of video surveillance with access control, alarm systems and intercom systems in order to build centralised, coherent security scenarios.
The hands-on practice is based on the study of a large project with more than 150 cameras and covers the design of the VMS architecture, the sizing of servers, storage and display, the configuration of analytics, as well as the preparation of the main technical documents required for project acceptance.
