Virtualization with Proxmox VE on HP Servers - Level 1

Overview

This Level 1 training explains the principles of virtualization and their benefits for an SME. Participants prepare an HP ProLiant DL380 server, studying the processor, memory, network cards, disk arrays, hardware RAID and the iLO interface.
The programme includes the installation and initialisation of Proxmox VE, basic network configuration and the administration of KVM virtual machines under Linux or Windows. LXC containers and the various Proxmox storage options are also configured.
The hands-on practice includes VM backups and restores, basic monitoring, security, maintenance and troubleshooting. The final project consists of building a mini Proxmox infrastructure for an SME using HP servers, an L2 switch, a KVM console and client workstations.
